Information about the tasks you complete and the rewards (SOTY Coins) you earn.
From Instagram (via Meta Platform Data):
When you connect your brand's or personal Instagram Business Account to SOTY, we access public, business-related data allowed by the instagram_business_basic permission — including Instagram user ID, account name, profile picture, media IDs, captions, timestamps, like counts, and comment counts.
Optional Device Information:
If available, SOTY may record your device type (e.g., Desktop, Mobile, Mobile App) and operating system name (e.g., Windows, Linux, Android, iOS) for compatibility and analytics purposes. These values are optional and will be stored as "unknown" if not provided.
We do not collect IP addresses, device identifiers, private messages, or any sensitive data.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Display connected brand Instagram posts and engagement metrics (likes, comments, saves) within SOTY.
- Verify user participation in brand-created Instagram-based tasks.
- Provide SOTY Coin rewards upon verified task completion.
- Maintain the reliability and functionality of the SOTY platform.
Meta Platform Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or resale purposes.
3. How SOTY Uses Instagram Integration
SOTY connects to Instagram only for task validation in two main ways:
Content Creation Tasks
- •Users share posts on Instagram following brand instructions
- •Users connect their Instagram account and select their shared post
- •SOTY verifies post metadata and awards SOTY Coins
Engagement Tasks
- •Brands assign users to interact with specific brand posts
- •SOTY verifies engagement metrics through Instagram metadata
- •Grants SOTY Coin rewards upon verification
SOTY does not publish, edit, or delete any content on Instagram, nor does it manage comments or direct messages. All access is read-only via instagram_business_basic.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Data
Data is shared only when necessary:
Service Providers (Data Processors):
Trusted partners providing hosting, analytics, or technical maintenance under confidentiality agreements.
Public Authorities:
Only when legally required.
We do not sell or rent your data to any third parties.
5. Data Retention and Security
All data, including Meta Platform Data, is securely stored and retained only as long as necessary to provide services or fulfill legal obligations.

Meta Compliance Statement
This Privacy Policy applies to the SOTY app's use of Meta Platform Data through the instagram_business_basic permission.
SOTY accesses only public business account metadata (media ID, caption, engagement counts) to verify user participation in brand-related tasks and to reward users accordingly.
No actions are taken on behalf of the user on Instagram, and no additional permissions are requested.
